Trustaide Assure Tech Pvt. Ltd (Trustaide/Company) owns the brand and the technology platform represented by ScrunchBox and its websites on the domain – http://www.scrunchbox.in. ScrunchBox simplifies the buying and servicing process of various assistance products.
ScrunchBox collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the http://www.scruchbox.in website (‘Site’). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by ScrunchBox.
This document describes the Privacy Policy (“Policy”) of Trustaide Assure Tech Pvt. Ltd (Trustaide/ScrunchBox), a provider of various Assistance Services.
1. The ScrunchBox App
Trustaide has developed a mobile app, targeted at Indian consumers, and specifically the customers of Trustaide. The app can be used to activate a subscription plan, renew the subscription, interact with Trustaide chat support and contact center and avail various other value-added services extended to the customers of Trustaide. Main objective of the app is to deliver a delightful experience to its users. Users are strongly encouraged to read our privacy policy before downloading our app. It is understood that usage of the app means acceptance of Trustaide’s privacy policy.
2. Personal Information
In order to personalize and improvise user experience, the app collects “Personal Information” such as
a. Phone number- the phone number of the user is used to uniquely identify a Trustaide customer
b. IMEI- The app may auto read the IMEI number in certain use cases to avoid data entry mistake by users and improve their experience.
c. Location- to provide certain value add services such as Service Network and Emergency Assistance in customers’ vicinity.
d. SMS information- Trustaide app does not collect any information from personal messages. A personal message is defined as a message between two individuals.
e. Phone components- Camera, Bluetooth, sensors, storage, speaker and mic, battery, flash, GPS, Wi Fi, memory. These components are tested for proper functioning and alerting the user in case of malfunction. Moreover, such tests are performed only after explicit action from users. This data is not shared with any third party.
f. Technical Information- Mac addresses, IP address and information on wi-fi networks to offer personalized protection plans. This data is not shared with any third party and is used solely for the above-mentioned purpose.
3. Usage of Personal Information
The information we collect will be retained by the Company and be used as described in this privacy policy.
By installing Trustaide’s app (ScrunchBox) , users agree to receive marketing communication such as emails, SMS & push notifications. The communication will include, but shall not be limited to exclusive promotions, product updates & research programs, and users can be contacted through any marketing channels, including calls. We do not share the data with any third party. Users can opt out anytime by clicking unsubscribe option or by sending an email at admin.support@scrunchbox.in
4. Usage of Android advertising ID
As per the terms of Google Play Services version 4.0, the Company shall use the Android advertising ID when available on a device, only for advertising and user analytics purposes. The Company shall not connect the advertising ID to any personally-identifiable information without the explicit consent of Clients. The Company shall abide by reset and “Opt out of Interest-based Advertising” settings of Clients.
5. Sharing of Personal Information with Third Parties
The Company does not publish, sell, lease or data to any third parties, except as may be required by law, or pursuant to the order of a court or regulatory authority, or in order for Company to enforce its rights, or as expressly stated by this Policy. In the event Company needs to share Personal Information with third parties, Company shall enter into non-disclosure agreements or equivalent covenants that are, at the least, as protective as the provisions of this Policy.

b. protect and defend our rights and the enforcement of our agreements; or
c. protect the security and safety of Users or members of the public or other aspects of public importance, provided, of course, that such disclosure is lawful.
6. Statistical Data from the Services
For statistical and analytical purposes, we use the aggregated or anonymized personal information, the data is not shared with third parties unless explicitly approved by the app user.
7. Amendments
Company keeps modifying this Policy in its sole discretion at any time. While Company shall make best efforts to notify Clients of any such modification, it shall be Clients’ responsibility to read and understand the Policy as prevalent from time to time. Installation/Updation of the App shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of the Policy as amended.
8. Limit of Liability
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Policy or any other terms of service or use applicable as between Company and Clients, Company’s aggregate liability hereunder shall be limited to Rs.750/-(Rupees Seven Hundred Fifty Only) and shall not extend to any indirect or remote damages whatsoever, including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages or loss of profits.
9. Acknowledgment
Users acknowledge that this Privacy Policy is part of the terms of use and unconditionally agree that becoming a User of the Platform and its Services signifies their assent to this Privacy Policy. User’s visit and any dispute over privacy is subject to this policy and terms of use. We may update this Privacy Policy at any time, with or without advance notice. In the event there are significant changes in the way the app treats User’s personally identifiable information, a notice will be displayed on the Platform or mails will be sent to Users, as provided for above. Unless stated otherwise, this current Privacy Policy applies to all information that the app has about Users and their account.
10. Security
We take all reasonable security protections, including cryptography, use of SSL, defense in depth mechanisms and world class physical security to protect Personal Information from loss, misuse or unauthorized access.
11. Your acceptance to these terms
By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
